The CETOCOEN Excellence project is the TEAMING Phase 1 project funded by the European Union through the Framework programme – Horizon 2020. The coordinator of the project is RECETOX (Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment), which is an independent department of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic). The project partners are (i) the University College London (London, UK), (ii) ETH Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland), (ii) Biobanks and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure - European Research Infrastructure Consortium (BBMRI-ERIC) based in Austria, and (iv) International Centre for Clinical Research (ICRC) at St. Anne's University Hospital (Brno, Czech Republic)


The main objective of this Teaming project is to develop a new research capacity and enhance the international competitiveness of the RECETOX Centre in the area of Environment and Health through the strategic partnership with the European institutions leading this field of research.


The purpose of the partnerships established within this project is to develop sustainable international platform supporting research focused on unravelling of the role of multiple factors affecting human health and aging with the long-term aim to minimize the burden of disease, improve the health and well-being of citizens, and lower the health costs.
